Its actually much easier than it seems. You only need to do a few things really.
- Make a few changes to your daily routine
- Stick to those changes until you reach your goals
- Don’t give up at the first hurdle or if you lapse into your old habits
I will elaborate on each point here.
Change your daily routine
By changing your daily eating habits and introducing some form of activity you will achieve great results in relatively little time. Because you are doing these things daily it will have a greater impact in your overall success.
Stick to those changes
You will always hear of someone that has been on a juice cleanse fast diet or some such thing that makes you lose 10 lbs a day, that’s great but it won’t last and you can guarantee as soon as the diet ends the weight will come back with interest! In my humble opinion it’s far better to take your time and make long term changes and reductions. You may find that a complete lifestyle change is what’s needed. That doesn’t mean you need to buy a yacht and go to casinos in Monte Carlo. It means trying different foods and new activities.
Don’t give up at the first hurdle or if you lapse into your old habits
It’s not easy changing routines or habits you have been used to for years but if you want to make a serious, and long lasting change to your wellbeing and get fitter and healthier that is what is needed.
You may find that the temptation of food may be too great to fight off, that is ok, as long as you don’t make a habit of it and give up what you started. It’s not easy but it is so worthwhile. You must allow yourself a treat every now and then but don’t lose sight of how far you have come and how far you need to go!
